Updating VIOSO 6

VIOSO provides updates on a occasional scheme. Check the changelog for detailled information about release dates, changes and downloads: Changelog and Version History

Some notes on the installation:

1. Create a backup of your current calibration project

2. An existing installation of VIOSO 6 is replaced

3. An internet connection is required to activate the license after each upgrade and downgrade. Alternatively, an offline activation can be done.

Performing the upgrade

1. Check whether your licence is valid for the planned version of VIOSO 6

   • The release date of the VIOSO version must be within the maintenance period of your licence

   • You can check the details of your licence here: Get License Information

2. Download the appropriate installer

   • The latest version is always available from this URL: https://vioso.com/download/vioso6

   • Find previous versions here: Changelog and Version History

3. Run the Installer

   • Run the installer as admin

   • Confirm all SmartScreen Prompts

4. First run

   • Establish internet connection

   • Launch the application - the license is updated automatically

Without internet

At first run, the license viewer will pop up with an error message: The activation key does not correspoind to version X.X. This indicates that the installed license is not update yet, and thus does not match to the recently installed software version.

You therefore need to perform another activation.

• If possible, establish a (temporary) internet connection and restart the software. The activation will happen automatically and VIOSO 6 will start normally. The internet connection can be disconnected afterwards, and the license remains.
